Giving back to the communities we protect

Our Story

Eastside Firefighters Benevolent Fund was established in 2011 as a 501c3 nonprofit and our membership includes all current and retired members of IAFF Local 2878 and is governed by a Board of Directors who volunteer their time.  Our Benevolent Fund serves the communities of Issaquah, Sammamish, North Bend, Carnation, Fall City, Snoqualmie, Duvall, Fire District 10, Fire District 27 and Fire District 38.

The Benevolent Fund was created to meet the following needs:

  • Charitable needs of our communities

  • Educational services to citizens regarding fire safety and prevention

  • Relief to victims of fires or other catastrophic emergencies

  • Aid to those in crisis with a heavy emphasis on community projects that assist those who may need extra help due to unforeseen circumstances.

We rely heavily on donations to finance our programs and projects, and the off-duty volunteer participation of our members to make all our programs operate.  In addition, we rely heavily on the monetary contributions of our partners to help us be successful.

If you would like to partner with us for a community project or know of someone in our service area that needs assistance please contact us to see how we can work together for a safer and better community.

Our mission is “Giving back to the communities we protect”
